Bells and Whistles update
The Bells and Whistles update focused mainly on the visual and audio aspect of the game, which was very needed.
The visual style of the game is now a lot more professional, hopefully looking more like games such as Warsim, SanctuaryRPG, and various MUDs, instead of a crappy Batch file. My favorite part I did visually is add a little ascii representation of the character and the available directions. While it is not a true map, it really does help to orient the player in a text-based space. Also, the "@" symbol that represents the character gets redder the less HP you have. Of course, there is an option to remove ascii from the game, for those who do not want it.
Auditorily, I added 38 sound effects to the game, which really bring the game to life (most were free, a few I made). I also added a couple music tracks that I made all by myself (and one free ambient track I found), which has been fun even if they probably aren't the best. Again, you are able to turn sound and music off if you please.
This update takes me one big step closer to reaching what I think this game can achieve. Until next time.
